A new fly-on-the-wall documentary will lift the lid will on Ireland's historic summer tour to South Africa, and offer a unique glimpse into the build-up and reaction to the extraordinary 14-man defeat of the Springboks at Newlands Stadium.
Joe Schmidt's men broke new ground with a 26-20 victory that defied the odds, and entered the history books, as Ireland claimed a first ever win on South African soil.
The hosts would eventually take the series 2-1, but Ireland died with their boots on, and returned to much acclaim.
Irish Rugby: What We Did Last Summer chronicles that journey, capturing the high and lows that the players, management team, and their families endured.
The programme features never before seen footage from the sidelines, stands and dressing rooms in Newlands.
While back home in Ireland, the documentary provides a unique perspective on the match from those closest to the players.
The families of Paddy Jackson, Stuart Olding, Iain Henderson and Luke Marshall are filmed going through the full spectrum of emotions while watching the match in Belfast Harlequins Rugby Club.
There's also footage filmed by the players themselves and exclusive interviews Rory Best, Jamie Heaslip, Joe Schmidt, and Andy Farrell.
Speaking of the tour on Tuesday, Heaslip said: “We had a lot of injuries. Those kinds of challenges really do show what people are all about.
"You never see someone’s character when it’s easy. You never see a team’s character when it’s easy.”
Irish Rugby: What We Did Last Summer will air on RTÉ One on Thursday, 10 November at 10.15pm and will be repeated on RTÉ 2 on Saturday, 19 November at 3.30pm.
