Ruan Pienaar has recovered from an injury and will start at scrumhalf for Ulster as they welcome Exeter Chiefs to Kingspan Stadium on Saturday evening.

The South African was withdrawn during the northern province's defeat to Bordeaux-Begles last weekend.

Pienaar is joined in the Ulster backline by winger Charles Piutau, who is making his Champions Cup debut for the side.

Ireland internationals Paddy Jackson, Stuart Olding, Luke Marshall, Andrew Trimble and Jared Payne complete the backline.

Up front, Les Kiss has drafted in McCall, Pete Browne and Roger Wilson in the front, second and back rows respectively.

Meanwhile, Wiehann Herbst makes his return to action after a long-term absence in the province's British and Irish Cup game against London Scottish.

The South African prop has not played since January.
