Sean O'Brien and Johnny Sexton return to face Montpellier

Sean O'Brien will make his long awaited return from injury in Leinster's Champions Cup clash with Montpellier this afternoon (1pm), while Johnny Sexton has also been passed fit to start.

The pair are among six changes to the Leinster side that racked up a convincing victory over Castres at the RDS last Saturday.

Sexton missed that game after feeling tightness in his hamstring but is recalled to make his 130th appearance for the province.

It's the lone change to a backline that will again feature the evolving midfield partnership of Robbie Henshaw and Garry Ringrose.

Up front, head coach Leo Cullen has selected an entirely new front row of Cian Healy, James Tracy and Mike Ross.

Mike McCarthy was initially named to start in the pack alongside Devin Toner, but did not travel with the team on Saturday morning after becoming ill overnight and instead his place will be taken by Mick Kearney.

But the most welcome name on the teamsheet will surely be that of O'Brien, who came through last week's British and Irish Cup game and is selected at blindside flanker along with Jamie Heaslip and Josh van der Flier.

The trip to France marks the Tullow man's first senior game since last season's Six Nations following a long-term hamstring injury.
