Fresh from their exploits at the World Rugby U20 Championship, Vincent O'Brien, Sean O'Connor and Shane Daly have all been awarded Munster Academy contracts for the coming season.
Cashel second row Seán O’Connor and Cork Con centre Shane Daly were part of the Ireland team that was defeated 45-21 by England in the decider, with Daly crossing the whitewash in Ireland's first ever final at that age group.
Cork Con prop Vincent O’Brien featured in the last 20 minutes of the decider and has also been placed into Year One.
The trio will be joined by Gavin Coombes, John Foley, Calvin Nash and Fineen Wycherley.
Five of the current Academy group are advancing to senior Munster development contracts for 2016/17 - David Johnston, John Madigan, Sean McCarthy, Rory Scannell and Alex Wootton - while Gearoid Lyons and Jack Cullen have secured professional contracts with Nottingham Rugby and London Scottish respectively.
Fellow third year players Rory Burke and Greg O'Shea have had their time in the Academy extended by one year after a series of injuries hampered their development.
