Stade Francais winger Josaia Raisuqe has been suspended for 15 weeks for gouging Munster’s CJ Stander.
Raisuqe was sent off by referee Nigel Owens during the Champions Cup match at Stade Jean Bouin for "making contact with the eye(s) and/or eye area" of the Munster number 8.
Following an independent disciplinary hearing in Paris, the Fijian, who pleaded guilty to the offence, was handed a 21-week ban, which was subsequently reduced by one third due to Raisuqe's “guilty plea, good conduct at the hearing, expression of remorse and youth and inexperience.”
Raisuqe is free to play on Monday, 9 May.
The 21-year-old may appeal the decision, as can European Professional Club Rugby.
