Sexual assault charges against former Connacht player Mils Muliaina have been dropped.
The crown prosecutor confirmed in a latter to the former All Blacks lawyers that the charges had been dropped due to a lack of evidence.
Muliaina, 35, was alleged to have touched a woman on the bottom over her trousers in a Cardiff nightclub the night that Connacht played a Pro12 away game against Cardiff Blues on 7 March.
The New Zealander was questioned by police after Connacht's clash with Gloucester in in the Challenge Cup in April and he was charged in July.
He appeared before Cardiff Crown Court at a hearing in September and was due to go on trial in February 2016.
