Paul O'Connell returns in the second row for Munster

Paul O’Connell makes his return as one of three changes by head coach Anthony Foley to his starting XV for Saturday's crucial clash with Ulster at Ravenhill (kick-off 2.40pm).

O'Connell partners Donnacha Ryan in the second row, the first time the players have started in the second row together since Perpignan away in December 2013. It is Ryan’s second start of the season.

Hooker Eusebio Guinazu comes in in place of Duncan Casey, the Argentinian international joined in the front row by Dave Kilcoyne and Stephen Archer.

An unchanged back row of captain Peter O'Mahony, Tommy O'Donnell and CJ Stander complete the pack.

Denis Hurley is the only change to the back line: he joins Andrew Smith in the centre with Simon Zebo, Keith Earls and Felix Jones continuing as the back three.

Ian Keatley makes his 99th appearance for Munster at out-half, outside Conor Murray.

Replacements: Duncan Casey, John Ryan, BJ Botha, Billy Holland, Jack O'Donoghue, Duncan Williams, JJ Hanrahan, Ronan O'Mahony.

Roger Wilson will become Ulster’s most capped Pro12 player when he lines out for the province against Munster.

The 33-year-old will play his 132nd game in the competition and takes over from Paddy Wallace as the Ulster player to have made the most appearances in the competition.

Wilson will start at number eight for the game, in which Ulster will aim to complete the regular Pro12 season unbeaten at home.

The team sees just one change from the side that defeated Leinster in Belfast a fortnight ago.

Winger Craig Gilroy picked up a hamstring strain in training this week and is replaced on the left wing by Peter Nelson.

Louis Ludik and Tommy Bowe join him in the back three, with Jared Payne and Darren Cave continuing in midfield. Paddy Jackson and Ruan Pienaar will both play their 15th games of the season when they line out alongside each other in the half-backs.

Up front, the pack is unchanged, with Callum Black and Wiehahn Herbst starting either side of captain Rory Best. Dan Tuohy will represent Ulster for the 90th time in the Pro12 when he starts alongside Franco van der Merwe in the second row.

Iain Henderson is selected at blindside, Chris Henry continues at openside with Wilson at the base of the scrum.

Forwards, Rob Herring, Andrew Warwick, Bronson Ross, Robbie Diack and Clive Ross, join backs Paul Marshall, Ian Humphreys and Stuart McCloskey, on the replacements’ bench.

Leinster have made announced their team for the Pro12 clash with Treviso at the RDS Arena on Friday night (kick-off 7.35pm).

Leinster can no longer make the Pro12 play-offs but could still be pipped for automatic qualification to the Champions Cup if they lose their final two league games.

Head coach Matt O'Connor has made five changes in total from the team that lost to Ulster two weeks ago. Three of those switches are in the backs and two in the forwards.

Dave Kearney has recovered from his hip flexor strain to take his place on the left wing in place of Luke Fitzgerald, who had surgery last weekend on his shoulder. Zane Kirchner is selected on the right wing, with Rob Kearney again at full back.

Ian Madigan returns at centre with Ben Te'o again selected at outside centre for his 13th game of the campaign. Eoin Reddan and Jimmy Gopperth complete the backs, selected at scrum-half and outhalf respectively.

Barring a play-off for Champions Cup qualification, Friday will be Jimmy Gopperth's last home game in the blue of Leinster before he leaves for Wasps in the summer. To date the New Zealand native has scored 347 points in 57 appearances for Leinster.

In the front row, Jack McGrath starts, together with Richardt Strauss and Mike Ross. Devin Toner and Mike McCarthy are once again selected in the second row. The Treviso game will be Mike McCarthy's 50th cap since his move from Connacht two seasons ago.

The back row consists of Jordi Murphy at blindside flanker, Sean O'Brien at openside and Jamie Heaslip captains the side from the base of the scrum.

Leinster will honour impending retirees Shane Jennings and Gordon D'Arcy before and after the game respectively.

Leinster: Rob Kearney; Zane Kirchner, Ben Te'o, Ian Madigan, Dave Kearney; Jimmy Gopperth, Eoin Reddan; Jack McGrath, Richardt Strauss, Mike Ross; Devin Toner, Mike McCarthy; Jordi Murphy, Sean O'Brien, Jamie Heaslip (capt).

Replacements: Aaron Dundon, Michael Bent, Tadhg Furlong, Tom Denton, Jack Conan, Isaac Boss, Gordon D'Arcy, Darragh Fanning.

Head Coach Pat Lam has made one change to the starting XV from the last round of the Guinness Pro12 as his Connacht side prepare to face Zebre in Parma on Saturday evening (kick-off: 6.30pm).

Scrum-half John Cooney is named to start in an otherwise unchanged backline in what will be his 13th appearance of the season.

Academy outhalf Conor McKeon is one of two changes to the replacements bench: the 21-year-old, former Gonzaga College schoolboy is in line to earn his first cap for the province.

24-year-old prop forward JP Cooney has also been included in the match-day squad, replacing the injured Ronan Loughney (groin).

Connacht currently sit in eighth place in the Pro12 table, and are out of the all-important top six places for the first time this season following the loss to league-leaders Glasgow Warriors last month.

However, Pat Lam's men are still in with a chance of qualifying for next season's European Champions Cup. A win over Zebre would mean a season record of ten league wins.

Connacht:  Tiernan O'Halloran; Danie Poolman, Robbie Henshaw, Bundee Aki, Matt Healy; Jack Carty, John Cooney; Denis Buckley, Tom McCartney, Rodney Ah You; Ultan Dillane, Aly Muldowney; John Muldoon (Capt), Eoghan Masterson, Eoin McKeon.

Replacements: Dave Heffernan, JP Cooney, Finlay Bealham, Andrew Browne, George Naoupu, Kieran Marmion, Conor McKeon, Darragh Leader.
