Connacht will be without the services of injured duo Robbie Henshaw and Craig Ronaldson for their final European Challenge Cup pool clash in La Rochelle on Saturday.
With a quarter-final spot still potentially up for grabs in France (kick-off 5.30pm Irish time) Ireland international centre Henshaw, his midfield partner Dave McSharry and outhalf Ronaldson are the main casualties following the bruising 24 - 33 defeat to Exeter Chiefs on Sunday afternoon.
Henshaw sustained a low-grade ankle sprain during the game and will not recover in time for this week's game in France.
Centre McSharry took a knock to the head shortly before half-time and did not return to the field after failing to pass the pitchside concussion test.
The 24-year-old centre will continue to observe the return-to-play protocols and will be monitored ahead of the team selection later in the week.
Ronaldson, who was forced to withdraw on Sunday just before kick off after straining his quad muscle in the warm up, is expected to be out of action for two-three weeks.
Tiernan O'Halloran and Jake Heenan have both returned to full training this week, however, after recovering from long-term injuries.
The duo are expected to be involved in the Connacht Eagles game with Germany at the Sportsground on Saturday (kick off 2:30pm).
Meanwhile, Connacht and the IRFU have announced new two-year deals for props Nathan White, Ronan Loughney and Finlay Bealham.
33-year-old tight-head White is qualified to play for Ireland and was involved with the international squad in November but missed out on a first cap after injuring his elbow in training.
After 10 weeks of rehab, the New Zealander is now fit and available for Saturday's game at La Rochelle.
Galway native Loughney (30) has made 156 appearances for Connacht since 2005 while Australian-born tight-head Bealham (24) has played 16 times for the province.
