Ireland's most-capped rugby international Brian O'Driscoll received an honorary degree from Belfast's Queen's University for his services to sport this afternoon.

The 35-year-old Dubliner, who retired last year, is also the highest try scorer in Irish rugby history and he captained Leinster, Ireland and the British and Irish Lions during his career.

He shared today's ceremony with students from the schools of engineering, nursing, sociology, business and management.
