Ulster have five players on the treatment table following their 24-9 Champions Cup round three victory over Scarlets at Kingspan Stadium.

Stuart Olding and Franco van der Merwe suffered concussion in Saturday’s win and will follow the graduated return to play protocols.

Wiehahn Herbst and Nick Williams sustained hamstring injuries in the clash and both players will undergo MRI scans this evening.

And most worryingly, Stuart McCloskey suffered a significant elbow ligament injury in the game.

He is awaiting specialist advice and a further update will be issued in the coming days.

The one bit of good news coming out of the Ulster camp is that Luke Marshall has returned to training and is expected to be available for selection this weekend.
