Leinster's Ben Te'o will be out of action for up to six weeks due to the broken arm he sustained in Friday's Guinness PRO12 game against Edinburgh.
Te’o lasted only 19 minutes while making his senior debut for the province before being forced to come off.
He had surgery on the injury on Saturday, which the province said had been a success. Te’o is now facing a race to be fit in time for Leinster’s crucial Champions Cup clashes with Harlequins in December, the first of which is on 7 December.
Leinster also issued an update on second row Kane Douglas, who was forced off on Friday with a head injury. Douglas will be assessed by medical staff as part of the return to play protocols, the province said.
