Ireland will welcome back World Cup captain Liam Finn for their final Rugby League European Championship match against Wales in Wrexham on Sunday.

The Castleford scrum-half, who is also the Wolfhounds' new assistant coach as well as their most-capped player, missed the opening two rounds through injury.

"Being able to include Liam is great for the whole squad," said Ireland coach Mark Aston. "He is a quality player who showed that in Super League this season.

"Wales are a very good side and we will need to be at our best if we want to get our second win this year."

Ireland beat France in their opening game before losing to Scotland last weekend.

The winners will qualify to compete with England, Australia and New Zealand in the 2016 Four Nations but Ireland would need to defeat Wales by an improbably huge margin and hope Scotland lose to France to have any chance of topping the table.
