Scotland will be without prop Jonathan Walker for Saturday's crucial European Championship match against Ireland in Dublin because of suspension.

The former Castleford and Hull KR forward, who is now with Championship club Leigh, was placed on report for a high tackle on Morgan Evans during the Bravehearts' opening 42-18 win over Wales in Workington on Friday and was on Tuesday given a one-match ban by a European Championship judiciary panel.

Scotland have decided not to appeal so Walker will miss out the clash with the Wolfhounds, who also won their opening game, but will be free to return for the final group game against France in Galashiels on Friday, 31 October.
