Champions Leinster will open the defence of their Pro12 title with a trip to face Glasgow Warriors.

The match is a repeat of last season’s final, which the Irish side won 34-12 at the RDS.

Beaten semi-finalists Munster start their campaign at home to Edinburgh, while Ulster travel to Scarlets.

Connacht welcome the Newport Gwent Dragons to the Sportsground.

The opening round of games, in the new Guinness-sponsored tournament, will take place on the first weekend of September, with the dates and times to be confirmed.

The first Irish derby takes place in round three (19/20/21 September) when Connacht host Leinster, with the reigning champions hosting rivals Munster in round five (3/4/5 October).
