Munster are sweating over the fitness of Peter O'Mahony who underwent a scan today after suffering a shoulder injury in his side's 47-23 Heineken Cup victory over Toulouse.

There had initially been fears that O'Mahoney had suffered a dislocated shoulder however in an update, Munster revealed that he had "over-extended his left shoulder."

O'Mahoney will meet with a specialist on Tuesday to learn the extent of the injury and there is no time frame on his recovery yet, but he would appear to be unlikely to make it back in time to face Toulon in the Heineken Cup semi-final.

Casey Laulala, who scored a try against Toulouse, is also a doubt for the clash with Toulon after it was confirmed that he sustained a broken bone in his right hand in the quarter-final.

Laulala, who will join Racing Métro at the end of this season will also see a specialist on Tuesday.

There was positive news for Munster academy prop Rory Burke who sustained a neck injury in his side's B&I Cup game after he received the all-clear following an x-ray and scan post-match.
