Ireland prop Brett White has been cleared to face England in Saturday's World Cup Group A match at Huddersfield.

The Canberra Raiders front-rower was found guilty by an international match-review panel on Tuesday of a careless high tackle on Fiji loose forward Korbin Sims, committed during Ireland's 32-14 defeat by the Pacific Islanders in Rochdale on Monday night.

White, who was making his Ireland debut, was issued with a formal caution.

A World Cup spokesman said: "The caution will remain on White's record for the duration of the tournament."
