Ulster winger Tommy Bowe is expected to be out for between four and six weeks after undergoing surgery on his wrist today, Ulster Rugby said in a statement. 

The Lions star broke his wrist during the side's 22-12 victory over Queensland Reds on 8 June, but he went on to play in the Test series against the Wallabies following what was regarded a miraculous recovery.

Ulster being their RaboDirect PRO12 campaign away to Newport Gwent Dragons on Friday, 6 September.
