The IRFU and Leinster Rugby have announced that Gordon D'Arcy has signed a new contract that will see him remain with Leinster until 2014.

D'Arcy is enjoying a glittering career for both province and country, winning his first piece of silverware with Leinster in 2001 as part of the side that won the Celtic League.

He made his debut for Leinster in 1998 and has gone on to make over 200 appearances for his home province.

The Wexford man has also represented Ireland on 68 occasions, winning a Grand Slam in 2009.

Leinster Coach Joe Schmidt said: "Gordon is a born and bred Leinster man and since his debut in 1998 he has been a highly consistent performer for Leinster.

"His competitiveness and ability have had added huge value both on and off the field.

"We're delighted that Gordon will be extending his long association with his home province and I am confident that he will continue to make a positive impression both on and off the field.

In total, Leinster have announced details of 18 contract extensions and two new signings as the squad for the 2012/13 season

Isa Nacewa, who has been a stand-out performer and double Heineken Cup winner for the province since his arrival in the summer of 2008, has signed a one-year extension to his deal until the end of the 2013/14 season.

Ireland international Kevin McLaughlin has signed a three-year deal while fellow internationals Isaac Boss, Gordon D’Arcy, Eoin Reddan and Rhys Ruddock join Gordon D’Arcy in signing two-ear deals.

In addition, the province can announce two-year deals with two Irish qualified forwards who will link up with the province this summer; 25-year-old tight-head prop Michael Bent who has signed a deal from Super 15 franchise the Hurricanes and 24-year-old second row Tom Denton who has signed from Leeds Carnegie.
