Rugby league will break new ground by staging matches in Limerick, Tripoli and Belgrade in this year's European Nations Cup.

Celtic Crusaders' Brewery Field will host the November 8 final as well as a group match in the second-tier international tournament, which will be run alongside the Four Nations involving England, Australia, New Zealand and France.

Ireland will be looking to pick up from where they left off in the World Cup when they take on Serbia in Limerick and Wales in Bridgend while in the other group Scotland take on Russia in Moscow and host Lebanon.

Rugby League European Federation development executive Kevin Rudd said: ‘The European Cup is moving forward as a brand and as an even more meaningful part of the representative calendar.

‘Every nation is now guaranteed three international games as a minimum during the season and the finals day is set to be a real highlight of the year with six sides on show and seedings up for grabs.’

Saturday, Oct 17 - Russia v Scotland (Moscow), Ireland v Serbia (Limerick).
Saturday, Oct 24 - Lebanon v Russia (Tripoli), Serbia v Wales (Belgrade).
Saturday, Oct 31 - Scotland v Lebanon (Glasgow).
Sunday, Nov 1 - Wales v Ireland (Bridgend).
Sunday, Nov 8 - Final (Bridgend).

Fixtures have also been confirmed for this summer's European Shield and European Bowl clashes.

On July 4 the Czech Republic host Germany, holders Italy face the Czechs a week later and the Italians travel to Germany on July 18.

In the Bowl, Estonia are at home to Ukraine on July 26 with the Ukrainians facing Latvia two days later. Latvia and Estonia then meet on August 8.
