Ulster's new era starts in earnest under Matt Williams on Friday

New Ulster coach Matt Williams has named a 23-man squad for Friday’s Magners League clash with the Dragons at Ravenhill, kick-off 7.30pm.

Williams welcomes back six internationals and has also been boosted by the news that Paddy Wallace has signed a new two-year deal with the province.

Ireland internationals Wallace, Neil Best, Rory Best and Tommy Bowe, Scotland’s Simon Danielli and Italian lock Carlo Del Fava all return.

‘The attitude of the players has been fantastic and very positive in training over the last week,’ Williams admitted.

‘It has been difficult with the international players coming into the squad late but the players have all responded to the pressure well.’
