Doug Howlett will make his Munster debut against Clermont Auvergne in the Heineken Cup on Sunday.
He has been named on the wing in place of the injured (hamstring) Anthony Horgan who had been selected ahead of the New Zealander for the Ulster game last weekend.
Alan Quinlan is named on the bench but there is no place for Paul O'Connell who suffered a setback on Wednesday's morning training session.
O'Connell was named in the 26-strong squad announced later that day with the proviso that he would need to train today to be considered.
However that hasn't proved possible and Donnacha Ryan takes his place on the bench
