Connacht have received a huge boost with the news that flanker Johnny O'Connor is set to return to the province after four years with Wasps.
The Galway native will be back playing for Connacht at the start of next season after agreeing terms on a two-year deal.
Agreement has been reached between Connacht and Wasps to release O'Connor from the final year of his contract with the London club.
The 27-year-old left the Sportsground in 2003 when former Connacht and Irish coach Warren Gatland swooped to bring the promising flanker to Wasps.
O'Connor was an instant hit as Wasps, who captured the European Challenge Cup and Heineken Cup in successive years, took over from Leicester as the dominant force in English rugby.
But a number of serious injuries have blighted O'Connor's progress in recent years.
