Eddie O'Sullivan admits he has picked Ireland's squad for the opening autumn international against South Africa with a view to blooding fresh talent.
But the Ireland coach also warned that the November Tests will not be used for experimentation after setting his side the target of claiming a clean sweep of victories.
Uncapped Paddy Wallace has made the 22 to face the Springboks at Lansdowne Road on 11 November, as have his rookie Ulster team-mates Isaac Boss and Bryan Young.
Wallace, who can fill various positions in the three-quarter line but is primarily a fly-half, will supply cover for Ronan O'Gara in reward for his impressive provincial form.
Boss, 26, has been given the nod ahead of Eoin Reddan to deputise for first choice scrum-half Peter Stringer, while 25-year-old prop Young can play on both sides of the scrum. Boss and Young have two caps each.
O'Sullivan has revealed all three should make it onto the pitch during the autumn internationals as he seeks to increase his options in selection for next year's World Cup.
The Irish coach admitted: 'I'm keeping one eye on the World Cup and am considering a bit more depth in the squad, certainly in some positions.
'There are new faces and I would like to use the three games to get more people on the pitch.
'Having said that, I'm not going out with the attitude that it's an experiment - it's not. We want to win the three Test matches, but we have more elbow room.'
He added: 'The first game against South Africa will tell us a lot about how we are and hopefully we'll have more room for manoeuvring over the course of the three games.'
All but one of the first choice line-up that won last season's Triple Crown are included in the squad with Jerry Flannery the only absentee.
The Munster hooker is expected to be out until Christmas with a shoulder injury so Frankie Sheahan and Rory Best will battle it out for the number two shirt.
If Sheahan does make it into the starting XV he will have completed a remarkable comeback since sustaining a career-threatening neck injury while on Heineken Cup duty for Munster a year ago.
Brian O'Driscoll and Andrew Trimble are minor injury concerns but both are expected to be ready to face South Africa.
O'Driscoll suffered an ankle injury in training yesterday and sat out today's session as a precautionary measure, although he was able to do some light work.
Andrew Trimble's hamstring problem forced him to sit out training on Monday but he was fully involved in today's drills.
O'Sullivan will name his starting line-up to face South Africa next Tuesday with matches against Australia and the Pacific Islands completing Ireland's autumn schedule.
