Connacht have announced their side to play NEC Harlequins in the opening game of the European Challenge Cup on Friday evening at the Sportsground (kick off 7pm).

The team is unchanged from that which started in the 16-9 win over Newport Gwent Dragons in the Magners League last weekend.

There is one change in the replacements with Connacht captain John Fogarty included after recovering from a shoulder injury which ruled him out of the Dragons match.

Fly-half Mark McHugh will skipper the side while winger Matt Mostyn will become the fourth Connacht player to make 100 competitive appearances for the side.

The 32 year old follows in the footsteps of Eric Elwood, Dan McFarland and Darren Yapp as Connacht’s other players to reach a century.

The match is all-ticket and while all enclosed stand tickets and corporate packages, there are still a number of match tickets available with NEC Harlequins not having taken up their full allocation.

Connacht team:
Daniel Riordan; Matt Mostyn, Paul Warwick, Gavin Williams, Darren Yapp; Mark McHugh (capt), Chris Keane; Ray Hogan, Adrian Flavin, Brett Sturgess; David Gannon, Andrew Farley; John Muldoon, Ray Ofisa, Colm Rigney.

Replacements:
