Leicester openside Shane Jennings will captain an Ireland A squad containing only four full internationals at next month's Churchill Cup.
Roger Wilson, Matt McCullough, Kieran Lewis and David Quinlan make up the quartet with Test experience, although they only have eight caps between them.
Nine members of the 28-strong squad have yet to make an appearance for the A side, which is coached by former Ireland scrum-half Michael Bradley.
Bradley said: "The tournament is a great opportunity for players to not only develop their own games but also push their own international credentials.
"It is a great chance for them to gain international experience against quality opposition."
Ireland open their Churchill Cup campaign against the USA in San Francisco on June 3 with further clashes against Scotland A and New Zealand Maori.
The tournament's finals day - which will include competitors from the second pool - will be staged in Edmonton on June 17.
Bradley added: "Our opening game against a USA team playing at home will certainly be a stern test for us and we will need to gel together quickly so we can put in a performance.
"Our second game against New Zealand Maoris will be as tough as they come. When you consider that this time last year they beat the Lions, you can see what a hard game we are in for."
