Buccaneers made it three wins out of three against their Connacht rivals Galwegians as they won today’s AIB Cup quarter-final clash 23-06 at Crowley Park.
Centre Darren Yapp made the initial breakthrough when he raced over for a try from his own ten-metre line on 29 minutes. Fly half Paul Warwick followed suit, four minutes later, after a quickly taken lineout to help Buccs lead 20-3 at half-time.
Wegians were always second best – number 10 David Slemen landed two penalties in either half for the hosts. Full-back Tom Cregan led the Buccs’ scoring with two conversions and three penalties.
