Following a fitness test this morning, Ian Dowling has been forced out of the Ireland A side to play France A on Friday night.

The Munster winger strained his hip flexor muscle in training yesterday morning but it was hoped that he would recover in time for tomorrow's game.  However, the injury has not progressed over the last 24 hours and the decision to pull him out of the team was made this morning.

Ulster full back Bryn Cunningham, who joined the squad as cover for Dowling, will now move onto the replacements bench, with Connacht's John Hearty moving to the right wing in place of Dowling.
