France have made two personnel changes to the side that beat Australia 26-16 earlier this month in Marseille for Saturday's clash with South Africa at the Stade de France.
Castaignede, on the bench against the Wallabies on November 5, will start the test against the Springboks at full-back.
Bonnaire returns to play blindside flanker after serving a one-match ban.
He has been selected ahead of Thomas Lievremont at number eight and will be flanked by Remy Martin and Yannick Nyanga.
The team will be captained by lock Jerome Thion, deputising for Fabien Pelous who is serving a nine-week suspension for elbowing Australia hooker Brendan Cannon.
