Tana Umaga's All Blacks leave for their tour of Britain and Ireland today facing further controversy over Brian O'Driscoll's shoulder injury.

O'Driscoll, the British and Irish Lions captain on their tour of New Zealand earlier this year, dislocated his shoulder when he was upended at a ruck by Umaga and hooker Keven Mealamu in the opening minute of the first test.

O’Driscoll is still recovering from shoulder surgery and has been ruled out of the match in Lansdowne Road on November 12.

Neither player was cited by South African match commissioner Willem Venter.

Newly-released amateur video footage has reignited the controversy, while extracts from O'Driscoll's tour diary have also been printed in a British newspaper.

"All we can say is what we continue to say. It was an unfortunate incident, but let's move on," New Zealand coach Graham Henry told reporters on today.

"We feel for Brian O'Driscoll, he's an outstanding rugby player and a top man and there's a lot of sympathy for his injury but it was an accident and I think it's time that the rugby world moved on.

"I guess Brian's book coming out right now has actually put a bit of fuel on the fire and so that probably hasn't helped but you can't control these things."

New Zealand are seeking to become the second team behind Graham Mourie's 1978 side to achieve victories over Wales, Ireland, England and Scotland.

Henry said captain Umaga would not play both of the first two tests, though declined to say which the 32-year-old centre would start.

Auckland prop Saimone Taumoepeau has replaced Canterbury's Greg Somerville in the 35-man squad because medical staff said his injured calf muscle could force him out of the first two matches.

"We were intending to play Greg against Ireland so he had some time to come right," Henry added.

"But it's a medical opinion that he might struggle to do that and we can't take that risk."

Otago flyhalf Nick Evans was called into the squad on Wednesday for Luke McAlister, who requires knee surgery.

New Zealand open their tour against Wales in Cardiff on November 5.
