Leinster Rugby have announced that Brian O'Driscoll will Captain the side for the coming rugby season 2005/'06.
Coach Michael Cheika confirmed the appointment at a press conference in Old Belvedere RFC today.
Additionally Malcolm O'Kelly, Felipe Contepomi, Denis Hickie, Keith Gleeson and Guy Easterby will form part of a leadership team who will assist O'Driscoll in his duties.
As part of this team Contepomi will captain the Leinster side for the Celtic League opener against the Ospreys at the Morfa Stadium this Sunday. A provisional squad was named today and will be reduced later in the week.
