France flanker Serge Betsen will miss Saturday's championship match for his club Biarritz with a thigh muscle strain but should be fit for France's Six Nations clash with Wales next week.
We'll check him out next Monday and he'll possibly sit out the first two days training," said France team doctor Thierry Hemerel. "But we're hopeful he'll be fit for Wales."
Betsen picked up the right leg injury in an outstanding display last Saturday's 18-17 win over world champions England at Twickenham.
France and Wales have, like Ireland, both won their first two matches and are both chasing a grand slam.
