Williams named as Scotland captain

Scotland coach Matt Williams has, as expected, named Gordon Bulloch as his captain for the forthcoming RBS 6 Nations Championship.

The Glasgow Warriors hooker skippered the team in the autumn Test series against Australia, South Africa and Japan and his will continue to wear the captains armband during the 6 Nations.

The 29-year-old became Scotland's most-capped hooker when he made his 53rd appearance against Wales in the World Cup countdown Test in August 2003.

He captained the team for the first time a week later against Ireland. Bulloch also led the team in the World Cup win against USA.

He made a late entry to the 2001 Lions touring party, to cover injuries in the squad, and played as a substitute in the first Test win against Australia.
