Long-time Ireland and Ulster servant Andy Ward is to retire from representative rugby at the end of the season.
The 34-year-old flanker has won 28 Irish caps and represented Ulster on 112 occasions, including their historic European Cup victory in 1999.
The Ballynahinch clubman, who has been dogged by elbow and knee injuries this season, will officially announce his decision on Wednesday when Ulster name their side for the Celtic League game away to Ospreys on Friday evening.
