Munster and Ireland out-half Ronan O'Gara will miss the province's remaining Heineken Cup pool games after breaking a bone in a finger of his right hand.
O'Gara picked up the injury in yesterday's win over Leinster at Musgrave Park.
Former Harlequins player Paul Burke will replace his Irish international colleague at number.
The 31-year-old - Munster's leading scorer in the Celtic League on 92 points - will now line up against the Neath Swansea Ospreys next Saturday at Thomond Park, and face his former employers Harlequins in round six on January 15, at Twickenham.
Burke was part of the Quins side who claimed the Parker
Pen Challenge Cup last May - kicking four penalties in the 27-26 final win over Montferrand.
O'Gara had enjoyed a stunning start to the season, accounting for all of Ireland's points in their autumn test wins over South Africa (17-12) and Argentina (21-19), while also scoring 86 points in nine outings for Munster.
