James Blaney will start as hooker for Munster for the first time this season in Saturday night's Celtic League match against the Dragons.

The Munster team shows a number of changes from the one that started in the win against Ulster in Ravenhill a week ago.

International commitments have removed Donncha O'Callaghan from the equation and his place goes to former Australian international Tom Bowman.

Elsewhere, Jim Williams returns to duty in the pack, while Rob Henderson is recalled to form a midfield partnership with Shaun Payne.

Munster team:
Christian Cullen, Mossy Lawlor, Shaun Payne, Rob Henderson, Anthony Horgan; Paul Burke, Mike Prendergast; Frank Roche, James Blaney, Gordon McIlwham; Trevor Hogan, Tom Bowman; Denis Leamy, David Wallace, Jim Williams

Replacements:
