Wasps flanker Johnny O'Connor is the only uncapped player in the Irish team to play South Africa at Lansdowne Road on Saturday.
The 24-year-old comes into a team that sees three changes in personnel and one positional switch from the team that lost to South Africa in cape Town during the summer.
Geordan Murphy returns to win his 24th cap on the right wing. Shane Horgan moves from the right wing to partner Brian O'Driscoll in the centre.
Dennis Hickie makes his first return to an Irish team in almost a year following his achilles injury. The forwards see only one personnel change, with O'Connor coming into the back row at number 7.
South Africa have also named their team and fly-half Jaco Van der Westhuyzen has been passed fit and will play. There was a doubt over his fitness after he injured his finger against Wales last weekend. South Africa won that game 38-36.
