O'Mahony and Saracens part company

Irish international wing Darragh O'Mahony has left Saracens by mutual consent.

The 31-year-old joined Saracens from Bedford in 1999, and was his new club's top tryscorer for the next two seasons, going on to make 142 appearances.

"It's always extremely difficult when we are forced to make squad decisions like this, especially with a player like Darragh, who has been a great servant to the club over a long period," said Saracens head coach Rod Kafer.

However, we always need to be looking to the future to get the balance right in the team. Unfortunately, at this point in time, we've had to make this decision.

Saracens are hoping to announce a new back division signing in the near future.
