Ireland coach Eddie O'Sullivan is ready to take a leaf out of Scotland's book when his side travel to Twickenham to take on England in two weeks time.
Scotland went down fighting against the World Champion on Saturday, and although they lost 35-15, O'Sullivan admitted that he was impressed with the way in which they went about taking the game to England.
"Scotland were outmuscled at times on Saturday, but they made England work for the whole 80 minutes and that is the key. The most important thing is to make them earn their victory," the Irish coach said.
"They are the world champions and a class side, but if they are not quite on their game, that is when you can get at them. Scotland didn't shirk from the battle - and that is what we will have to do in two weeks' time," he added.
O'Sullivan concedes that Ireland will be the underdogs when they take on England, however after claiming an impressive victory over Wales on Sunday, he feels that the game might just be coming at the right time for his side.
"This tournament is about momentum. Last year we got great momentum in our first three matches. Obviously we didn't get the momentum we wanted out of Paris but I don't think it was all bad. This performance gets a bit more movement in the wheels, but we all recognise a trip to Twickenham means a very big battle," he insisted.
