Ireland's assistant coach Declan Kidney is considering an inside job with the IRFU. The former Munster coach is believed to have been offered a new post to head Ireland's Elite Player Development.
There is also some talk that Kidney may be in line to take over at Ulster if, as expected, Alan Solomons moves on. It is well known that Kidney feels frustrated at having to work as number two to present coach Eddie O'Sullivan with the senior international team.
All will be known at the end of the Six Nations Championship when Kidney's current contract with the IRFU runs out.
