Troncon's operation is a success

Italian captain Alessandro Troncon has undergone a successful operation on his knee. The scrum half damaged his knee playing for Treviso in the Heineken Cup against Munster on December 13.

He sustained the injury at the start of the game but managed to play on through to half time. It was later revealed that Troncon would need to undergo surgery to repair the damage, but now that is out of the way, the half back is hoping to begin his rehabilitation.

He said:"I hope the worst has gone away. Now I need just to be patient and not force my comeback. But I'm very positive about all these matters and I will be back at 100% and no less than that."
