Goodwill message flood for Wood

Good luck messages have been pouring in for Keith Wood, who retired from international rugby on Sunday after captaining Ireland to the Rugby World Cup 2003 quarter-finals. Fans have been logging on to the IRFU site, www.irishrugby.ie, to leave messages of good will for the hooker who played for Garryowen, Harlequins, Munster and Ireland during his career.

Wood has not yet said what he plans to do in the aftermath of his rugby playing career although he is unlikely to "take out the hurl and line out for Clare" as suggested by one well wisher!
