Ulster deny Kempson speculation

The Ulster Branch of the IRFU have dismissed media speculation linking Robbie Kempson with a return to South Africa. The former Springbok prop, who joined former coach Alan Solomons at Ulster in July following a fall-out with the South African Rugby Union, is rumoured to have been approached by the SARU with a view to returning home.

However, Ulster chief executive Michael Reid insisted: "As far as we are concerned this is purely media speculation."

Kempson is contracted with Ulster Rugby until June 2004 with an option of a further year, having signed from Stormers during the summer.
