Leinster defeated Connacht 25-3 in tonight's Interprovincial friendly in front of a crowd of around 1,000 in Athlone. Matt Williams' side led 10-3 at the break thanks to a Girvan Dempsey try and a coversion and penalty from Brian O'Meara.
Further tries followed in the second half from Brian O'Driscoll and substitute Aidan McCullen. Connacht's only score came from a Mark McHugh penalty after 19 minutes.
A power surge caused a floodlight failure with six minutes remaining and it was decided to end the game.
