Horgan out of Munster team

Anthony Horgan has been ruled out of the Munster team for Saturday's European Cup final in Cardiff following a freak training accident this afternoon. The Munster squad had a light workout at their vale of Glamorgan headquarters and it seems towards the end of the session, winger Horgan collided with a colleague.

Horgan was in some discomfort and taken to hospital for pre-cautionary x-ray. Tragically for Munster, the x-ray revealed he had broken two bones in his right hand. It is a further blow to Irish coach Eddie O'Sullivan as the injury also rules Horgan out of the tour to New Zealand.
