New Leinster role for Anderson

Willie Anderson, former Irish international second row forward, has this afternoon been confirmed as Assistant Coach to Matt Williams with Leinster. Anderson has already had managerial success with Dungannon, taking the AIB League title last year. Anderson, who was capped 27 times by Ireland, has also coached London Irish in the past. Most recently, Anderson worked part time, last season as forwards coach with the Leinster team.

Meanwhile, Leinster can clinch the Guinness Interprovincial Championship this evening. A win and a bonus point away to Connacht would be good enough to give Leinster the title. The match, in Galway's Sportsgrounds, kicks off at 6.30pm.
