O'Kelly given injury all-clear

Ireland’s Malcolm O’Kelly has been given the all-clear from injury after he missed the last month with a fractured cheekbone. The Ireland and Leinster lock has been cleared to play for St Mary’s College against Garryowen in the AIB All-Ireland league on Saturday. O’Kelly’s return is a welcome boost for Irish coach Eddie O’Sullivan with just ten days to go to the crunch Six Nations tie against England at Twickenham.

Meanwhile, Harlequins coach John Kingston fears Keith Wood could be out of action for at least another month with his damaged calf. Wood missed Ireland's victory over Wales on Sunday and Kingston believes the Lions hooker is a major doubt for the game with England.

Wood has been sidelined since December 15 and has been frustrated by the amount of time his calf has taken to heal and his club coach believes that he could be out until at least early March. "I can't see any way Keith will be playing for Ireland against England," Kingston said. "A few weeks ago he was saying that he couldn't go into an international match without playing a league game first - and that was with six weeks out."
