Former Irish coach Warren Gatland has officially joined Wasps and will take up a role with their backroom staff before the end of the month. The Kiwi has agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract with the Zurich Premiership outfit, and the club hope he will be with them in time for their league clash at Newcastle on Sunday week.
Gatland, who has rejected a number of other offers in favour of Wasps, was controversially sacked by Ireland last month, despite leading them to second place in the Lloyds TSB Six Nations Championship and victory over England.
