Bridgend coach Dennis John is backing Munster to see off French rivals Castres and come out on top of Pool Four following the Irish side's 40-6 demolition of his team yesterday. John's Welsh side conceded five tries at Musgrave Park in a game which also saw four Bridgend players sin-binned and another sent off.
But having already played Castres away this season, he reckons the Irish side have got what it takes to come out on top in what is likely to be the group decider in the New Year. "I've always been impressed by Munster and the way they keep things simple and direct," John said. "Munster are more physical than Castres and they have just that bit more pace, especially at full-back and down the flanks. It will be a very interesting confrontation but I reckon Munster will just shade it."
Munster march on, having made it four wins out of four with this victory. They now look forward to receiving Harlequins at Thomond Park, Limerick, on January 5 before travelling to Castres a week later.
