Captain Johnson to miss Irish clash

England captain Martin Johnson will miss next Saturday's Six Nations match against Ireland after suffering a suspected broken hand in a club game earlier today. Johnson was forced to retire at half-time during Leicester's 21-11 win at Northampton and was subsequently taken to hospital for x-rays.

"We believe he may have broken his left hand," Leicester director of rugby Dean Richards told the BBC.

Ireland need to defeat England by a margin of more than 60 points to clinch the Six Nations title, despite their impressive 36-6 victory over Wales in Cardiff earlier today.
