Lansdowne recorded a hard fought 16-6 win over AIB Division One leaders Blackrock at Lansdowne Road this evening. Brian Doherty's 73rd minute try proved to be the difference between the sides despite 'Rock enjoying the majority of possession in the second half.
Alan McGowan scored three penalties and a conversion to wrap up the win, with the visitors' only scores coming from the boot of Nathan Turner. Blackrock remain joint leaders with St Mary's despite the defeat.
